Community Building and Community Development with an asset focus is the business of Community Building Resources (CBR) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

CBR is a small business led by Susan Roberts, an experienced facilitator, asset-focused community developer, and adult educator. Susan and colleagues, "the RAFF'ers", assist community groups and organizations by providing fun and effective workshops and facilitation for Community Capacity Building and Asset Mapping©.

The foundation of our work has grown from the Community Capacity Building and Asset Mapping© model, which was developed in 1994 and has been a major building block for CBR.

We offer a variety of workshops and facilitation; resources for research and evaluation; dynamic presentations and keynotes; as well as resources and references that provide a sound base for what we do.

The CBR team has creative energy that has had far-reaching effects. With daily e-mail inquiries from around the globe, CBR is always connecting, learning, and sharing new ideas and practices with others.  CBR has worked extensively with many communities throughout Alberta, Canada and the USA.

Regularly, CBR becomes involved in new initiatives, makes new connections, and learns of creative and new revenue generating and funding ideas. We are also always gathering and sharing R.A.F.F. ideas - check out some of our ideas!
