RAFF IT UP! - December, 2000/January 2001

Here are some poems and songs that the participants from the Community Building Gathering V had fun creating...

  • Row, row, row your RAFF
    Gently through development
    Relationship, Action, Food and Fun
    Trust has just begun!

  • Look around
    Lets have some fun
    Eat & drink & laugh

    It's time to build community
    It's all about using RAFF

    When you build relationships
    You need to look around
don't be such a weirdo drip
There are resources to be found

Action takes us higher and yon
We all need to get moving
Cause when everyone is having fun
    It's easy to get grooving

Food is always good to eat
    People can stuff their face
With every kind of sort of treat
It makes their blood sugar race

Fun brings it all to one good place
    People help each other
Working together with wisdom and grace
Like sister, father, brother and mother

  • The sun rose upon a crystalline hand
A hand with empty lots and derelict homes
    Ah, said Su
    There is opportunity there
A chance to build on relationships
And create dwellings for folks who have little in this life
    Yes, said Darlene
    A neighbourhood to rival Glenora
Let the action begin roared Caz

    A wheezing group called RAFF
    Spun ideas and dreams
    Said Cory, Ross & Jack
Let us explore where no-one has gone before

Shirley, touched by the angels, said
    What about habitat for Humanity
    Bravo, said Chris

  • We are fun
    We are action
    We make relationships actually happen
    We are hungry
    We are famished
Feed us soon or we will vanish!
